A Rush of Blood To The Head

Ploning

I will watch Ploning, not because it has Judy Ann Santos, but because it is filmed in Cuyo, Palawan and that it has Eugene Domngo on it. (Disclaimer: I only watch Tagalog movies if it has Eugene Domingo on it.)

The trailer looks fresh and nice. Come weekend, I will line up in SM Cinemas to watch it. Hey, it is Rated A by CEB.

Bakal Boy

I saw Iron Man last night, on its first day of showing. Even before this, I have apprehensions of watching this because 1) Robert Downey as Iron Man? 2) Gwyneth Paltrow in a Marvel movie? 3) Can Robert and Gwyneth pull it off?. Actually, they did. And I enjoyed it.

But there’s Jeff Bridges, who keeps the movie on its toes. And the comic lines that comes in handy from time to time. The special effects are good. If you don’t have something to do on a May 1 holiday, go watch Iron Man.

Ian Mc Kellen to reprise Gandalf in The Hobbit

Sir Ian Mc Kellen will be reprising his role as Gandalf in The Hobbit, according to reports. He was personally chosen by the director, Guillermo del Toro.

“According to studio New Line, the first film will be an adaptation of The Hobbit and the second will be an original story focusing on the 60 years between the book and the beginning of the Rings trilogy.”

I can’t wait to see the finished product.
