Video of the week: Across The Universe

I was the lead volunteer for the recent Part 1 course of the Art of Living Philippines held at the Makati Stock Exchange from May 05-10, 2008. It was my first time to be in charge of organizing a course for an NGO, and somehow manage to pull it off without a fuss or glitch. Not even the Makati Day activity held in front of the venue last May 09.

In this course, you are taught of basic course points which is very helpful in your day to day living. Aside from that, you are also taught a unique breathing technique called Sudarshan Kriya, which basically increases your lung capacity, reduce stress, and focuses your mind.

One greeting that we tell the participants is Jai Guru Dev, a Sanskrit word which means “Victory to the greatness in you.” This words were also uttered in the Beatles song Across The Universe. I am posting the Rufus Wainwright version of the song, from the tearjerker movie I Am Sam.
