A Rush of Blood To The Head

iPod: Weapon of Choice

You just have to thank people from Apple for introducing a convenient weapon when you just wanted to shut your self from the outside world. I mean, not all the time can you stand everybody you meet. The most convenient way to vent your anger is to plug those iPods and watch downloaded episodes of Angelina: Ang Spoiled from Bubble Gang, or recorded audio episodes of The Morning Rush especially those hilarious moments and funny topics that they have.

See, the most convenient way to unwind and de-stress is not to go out and eat. Nor stretching (although this is the most prescribed). But, I believe, that laughter is the best medicine, so I have to entertain myself by listening to re-runs of The Morning Rush, or watch Weng Weng doing his Double OO missions, or seeing clips of the late Rene Requiestas. Guilty pleasures.

Yes, they are all on my iPod. And it’s my stress-reliever.

What are yours?

The search for Weng Weng

I came across this poster on a shirt in the blog of Jessica Zafra. Can somebody tell me where can I buy this?

Nadal won Wimbledon Men’s Singles 2008

Nadal

Nadal

Rafael Nadal makes it impossible for Roger Federer to surpass Bjorn Borg’s milestone in Wimbledon. It was one of the longest tennis matches, and it was so worth it. I was glued to the television up to the wee hours in the morning. (The match was beamed live, and due to time difference (+8.00 GMT), it was already 1 am to 2am when the game was finished.)

Another day at the office

I have been supervising people for four years now, and more than the enormous responsibilities given to you by the company/employer, the most difficult part of it really is managing people. I mean, how can you possibly stand when employee A is bitchy for the day because she had her period, employee B is too lazy early in the morning because he has not eaten breakfast, employee C is 30 minutes late. Add to that co-employees and supervisors from other department whose job is to annoy people early in the morning with delayed reports, and timeline delays.

No matter how good you plan your day the night before, it is just useless because external factors such as these keeps on bugging you day in and out. Losing your temper is just not an option in this situation because it will only get nowhere. And besides, the situation is not worth it.

The best anti-thesis would be to close your eyes, and take a deep breath. Or shut your self off and listen to Mika on your iPod. Or The Ting Tings.
