X Files, do I really want to believe?
During long holiday break, I got the chance to catch up on movies and DVDs which have been piling up because I do not have the time to watch on work days. [Just too tired to stay glued on the tele.]
Last Monday was a good opportunity to watch X Files. The movie was not bad. Although the universal theme of faith and belief is the center of the movie, it was done in a way that it’s not boring. Engaging, because you wanted to find out the interconnection of the major characters, and how they are inter-related to each other.
And I did not get sleepy inside the cinema. Instead, I feel really cold.
Get together
My high school friend who is based in Singapore for two years now has come home and decided to see us. As Pinoy culture would dictate, get together is usually served with good food. The day before her arrival in Manila, the dinner venue is not yet decided. It was only at the last minute where the final place will be. It was at Lasa Manila over at the Podium.
It is good to see friends whom you haven’t seen in a long time. Not just our balikbayan friend, but also those friends who are also Manila-based but you rarely see. I don’t know why we have not decided to have a get together from time to time when we only are living in the same place. Weird.
This is what I like about get together. We just love doing re-hash talk of what we were before. I mean, the eccentricities of high school, even elementary days. Relive those funny moments, embarrassing moments, and even major events that happened. Even if we talked about this before, we just cannot get over it. Everytime we see each other, it has to be on the agenda.
You see, our brain stores memories of things past. And this keeps our friendship strong–no matter where we are, we have our shared experiences at the back of our brain.
The happy picutres to follow.
