Is Slumdog Millionaire on it's way to the Oscars?

It is awards season in the United States. National Board of Review has named its 10 Films of 2008 with Slumdog Millionare as the best film. Clint Eastwood and Anne Hathaway are best actor and actress, respectively. Here are the top ten films of 2008, according to NBOR.

BURN AFTER READING, CHANGELING, THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON, THE DARK KNIGHT, DEFIANCE, FROST/NIXON, GRAN TORINO, MILK, WALL-E, THE WRESTLER

Meanwhile, Wall-E is named best film by LA Film Critics Association. Best Actor went to Sean Penn (for Milk), and Best Director for Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire). Penelope Cruz is Best Supporting Actress for Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

This Thursday, the Golden Globes will announce its nominations.
